About
My name is Konrad Tesch. I studied Game Design and Development in Leipzig between 2019 and 2023.
Thereby I was mainly focused on programming with C# in Unity.I have already participated in several projects as a programmer and engine operator during my studies and was able to gain valuable experience.
In my spare time I work on prototypes of own game ideas to improve my skills constantly.
In 2022 I had an internship for 24 weeks at the Leipzig based studio Fusionplay, where I could gain experience with the development of VR games.
Projects
Gizmo
Gizmo was originally a prototype (with the working title Rectangle) that I developed on my own during the fourth semester to show a mechanic. In the seventh semester, it became my final project, which I developed with a group.
The game combines the genres puzzle and jump 'n' run.
Der Lange Weg
"Der Lange Weg" (The Long Way) is a serious game that deals with the fates of people who were forced out of Silesia at the end of World War II in 1945 and fled from the Red Army.
It was developed during the third and fourth semester with a team. I was responsible for all the programming and also did most of the implementation in the Unity engine. Since it was the first project I worked on as a programmer, I could do a lot of things better today.
Futureline
The game "Futureline" is a serious game that deals with digitalization in schools. It was commissioned by the University of Halle and is intended to familiarize teacher training students with digitalization topics.
In the beginning I worked together with another programmer, but he decided to only take care of the implementation in Unity. Accordingly, I am responsible for most of the code.
Stealth Prototype
I developed this prototype completely on my own during the lecture-free period between the fourth and fifth semesters. At this time I already worked on a bigger project (the serious game "Der lange Weg") as a programmer during my studies. The purpose of the prototype was for myself to test and develop my skills.
